Giro adapts many of its features from its adult line for the Scamp, using the same In-Mold polycarbonate shell and EPS foam liner to protect against impact as in its adult models. Giro also scaled down its ventilating Roc Loc fit adjustment system for smaller riders, with the Roc Loc Jr. fit system providing eight cooling vents and allowing for easy size adjustments as little ones grow. We can all remember getting our chin pinched at least once while rushing to put a helmet on in our youth, and it makes us feel better to know that today's youth can now benefit from the Scamp's pinch-guard buckle at the chin as well as its compatibility with ponytails.
