Sidi Dragon 5 Mega Mountain Bike Shoes

Sidi Dragon 5 Mega MTB Shoe offers the same features as the Sidi Dragon 5 MTB shoe but is built with Sidi’s Mega last for a higher volume fit. The Mega fit is 4mm wider across the ball of the foot and has a higher instep and a wider heel cup to accommodate riders needing some extra room for their feet. The shoe has been updated from its successor the Sidi Dragon 4 with new uppers, a more breathable tongue, and newly designed heel cup with a revised Soft Instep Closure Strap.  Built with an SRS Carbon Composite Sole that is not quite as stiff as the full carbon sole found on the Sidi Drako 2’s, the Dragon 5 will still reap the rewards of efficient pedal power transfer but with a bit of extra flex for comfortable dismounts.

The updates include the Soft Instep 4 closure system made with a lighter upper strap that is adjustable side to side enabling you to center it across the highest part of your foot.  Utilizing Sidi’s Tecno-3 Push Dial, allows you to make micro-adjustments to dial in the perfect fit along with the additional tecno-3 dial below the upper strap to further adjust for the precise tension in this critical area. The dial closures are paired with the padded tongue providing exceptional comfort for the top of your foot. And to top off the fit of the Sidi Dragon 5 Mega MTB shoe, the toe box is also adjustable using a high security hook-and-loop strap.  The uppers come in new matte colorways, and a reinforced toe guard to protect against rock strikes.

The Dragon 5 Mega falls in the upper middle range of Sidi’s mountain bike shoe offerings, and the life of the shoe is extended with the ability to replace the lugs and guard plates on the outsole increasing the longevity of the shoe. The SRS system accommodates two toe spikes for extra traction when riding conditions are slick.
